SteelSeries Unveils The Future of Gaming Audio – The Arctis Nova Pro Series Leave a comment

The release of a new series of gaming headsets from SteelSeries has been announced – it is called Arctis Nova Pro. It includes two models of headphones: wired Arctis Nova Pro and wireless Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Both devices deliver high-quality audio with 3D Tempest support on PS5, use a ClearCast microphone with noise reduction effect, can work with a digital-to-analog converter (GameDAC Gen 2), and are adjusted using convenient controls. Plus, the wireless version comes with a USB-C charging cable. And not only.

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless comes with two replaceable batteries. Each lasts approximately 22 hours and charges via the GameDAC or USB-C cable. The device also uses an active noise cancellation system and a Bluetooth connection. With it, you can connect to your smartphone and receive calls or listen to music.

Both new items are compatible with the PC and suitable for the PlayStation or Nintendo consoles. Also, manufacturers have released separate versions of Arctis Nova Pro headsets for Xbox to accommodate the preferences of as many gamers as possible.

Another important feature of Arctis Nova Pro and Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is support for SteelSeries Sonar Audio Suite, which is available for PC versions of both headsets. Sonar software dramatically improves sound quality and supports Spacial Audio with 360-degree surround sound. Plus, the program allows you to fine-tune the spatial sound using a parametric equalizer.

The equalizer has quite a few different levels to fine-tune and preset profiles for popular games. These are Apex Legends, Escape from Tarkov, CS:GO, Fortnite and others. Each profile has been fine-tuned and tested in-game, so you can better navigate the battle with rivals and capture fine details well. And, of course, various parameters in any of the profiles can be adjusted independently, as well as chat or microphone settings.

Now let’s move on to other features of both new products. The wired Arctis Nova Pro plays high-definition audio (Hi-Res Audio), connects using two 3.5mm connectors or via USB, and the headphones are equipped with 40mm speakers and a ClearCast Gen 2 microphone with bi-directional noise reduction. This technology uses artificial intelligence, which works with unique algorithms, due to which background noise, keystroke sounds, and so on are well blocked. And in the headset, there are removable ear pads on magnetic mounts, which can be easily removed if necessary.

The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless uses two connection options: radio frequency with a 2.4 GHz band and Bluetooth 5.0 technology. The device has an active noise reduction system with four built-in microphones – they ideally pick up extraneous sounds and block them.

“The launch of the Arctis Nova Pro series will usher in a new era of gaming audio, allowing gamers to enjoy even more gameplay and better navigate their opponents. And the main reason for this is the Sonar Audio Software Suite application, which allows you to fine-tune the sound in the speakers and significantly improve the acoustics in shooters and other multiplayer games. Such a game weapon will not only be a great help. It is an ultimate feature that will give a serious advantage in the game. Especially when it comes to classic shooters,” says SteelSeries CEO Etisham Rabbani.
