BlackWidow V4 Pro keyboard is another new product from Razer! Leave a comment

Multi-function Command Dial switch, stylish lighting with additional lighting zones. On the back of the device individual macro keys and durable mechanical switches. These are the main advantages of the new BlackWidow V4 Pro keyboard that Razer announced in February.

As always, the news was presented in Irvine, California. Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is ideal for gamers because of its functionality and great features. The device uses Razer mechanical switches with a large margin of durability, and the keyboard is illuminated on the front and back. In addition, it has some important additions for more convenient use, but about everything in turn.

The Razer Command Dial is a programmable switch that is an important part of the new product’s functionality. Located in the upper left corner above the macro buttons, it can be used to perform various actions in and out of the game. By the way, these same macro buttons will help you act much faster when fighting opponents. On the other hand, when talking about the external finish of the new BlackWidow V4 Pro, Razer’s lighting is top class as always – RGB Chroma lighting on all keys and the back of the mouse creates a significant visual effect!

“Since the first BlackWidow went on sale in 2010, this keyboard has quickly gained popularity among gamers and received rave reviews from critics,” says Barry Uys, head of gaming device development. “The BlackWidow V4 Pro has many visible improvements to the naked eye. These include a multi-function command dial toggle switch, a macro button bar, and bi-directional RGB Chroma lighting that can be synced with other devices in the ecosystem,” he continues.

More information about keyboard functionality

Razer specialists have provided eight standard operating modes for the Command Dial 8, which allow you to adjust the size, switch tabs, and much more. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. In addition, the switcher offers more than 100 user-definable modes, which will expand your most serious setup modes and parameters.

This includes going clockwise or counterclockwise, scrolling time, and even adjusting brush size in Photoshop. To switch between the different modes, press the switch, and color-coded lighting lets you know which mode is currently active.

As mentioned above, the macro keyboard buttons are located directly below the shifter. There are eight in total, and each of these keys can execute macros of any complexity and can be programmed using the Razer Synapse service. Now a little about the layout. Five macro keys can be easily spotted below the Command Dial, while the other three are located on the left side of the device.

Razer Chroma lighting is excellent, as always!

The BlackWidow V4 Pro is an important addition to the Chroma ecosystem. The keyboard lighting works individually for each key and shines significantly brighter. This incredible effect is partly due to a clever but simple engineering technique – transparent switch housings. In addition, the reverse side of the device has 38 individual lighting zones, so the Chroma creates a spectacular effect by reflecting off the work surface. By the way, the light also reflects on the padded palm rest, fixed with safe magnets.

And as always, the Razer Synapse service is used to configure the RGB lighting. This allows you to synchronize brightness with other Chroma ecosystems and Connect-enabled devices. Synapse offers control of effects and color palettes, and lighting integration with more than two hundred games where Chroma will react to various events in real-time.

The inner world of BlackWidow V4 Pro

The new version of the BlackWidow will be available in two variants: with Green Clicky and Yellow Linear mechanical switches. They share a high endurance reserve of up to 100,000,000 clicks, and the main difference between them is the tactile click function of the Green and the linear click function of the Yellow switches. There is also a separate USB 2.0 socket. The cable with the USB-C connector is removable, and factory-lubricated stabilizers are installed inside the keyboard. In addition, the developers have added even two layers of noise-absorbing foam to make the device less noisy while typing.

To ensure greater reliability, the upper part of the plate is made of durable 5052 grade aluminum. The last but significant detail is the broadcast frequency – 8 kHz, 8 times higher than conventional keyboards.
