Cloud III and Cirro Buds Pro True Wireless – HyperX new headphones Leave a comment

The Cloud III full-size headset and Cirro True Wireless in-channel headphones were two of the latest additions from HyperX that the well-known brand unveiled at Computex 2023.

The new peripherals from HyperX were unveiled during Computex 2023 in Fountain Valley, California last week. One of the leading brands in the market of modern devices presented two headsets at once: Cloud III and Cirro Buds Pro True Wireless. The main novelty of course is the new version of the headphones from the Cloud family, so first we will talk about it.

The Cloud III features large 53mm drivers that are fixed at a slight angle, all in an effort to improve sound perception. On top of that, the device supports DTS Headphone:X virtual surround sound technology, which is activated indefinitely. And of course, another important feature of the new headphones is the carefully considered ergonomics and comfortable fit.

In short, the new version of the headset is a further improvement over the Cloud II, released back in 2015, which was very popular with gamers and received high marks from critics.

“Cloud III is a next-generation gaming headset that will be able to capture the attention of gamers worldwide and conquer the market – we do not doubt that!”, says Markus Hermann, head of PC gaming devices at HyperX. “During the development of this headset, our engineers and designers focused their efforts on making the ergonomics of the device better than Cloud II and making Cloud III as comfortable to wear as possible. To achieve this, they studied every aspect in detail and selected very high-quality materials and of course achieved their goal. We also fine-tuned the sound in the speakers and added a 10mm microphone with a metal pop filter inside and good noise cancellation,” he continues.

In addition to DTS Headphone:X support and large 53 mm drivers, the new Cloud III has another important feature when it comes to sound. It’s a fine-tuning of the sound so that any fine details are conveyed more accurately.

It certainly won’t surprise an experienced gamer in 2023, but still: the headphones have soft ear cushions filled with memory foam and an equally soft headband with filler. To communicate with teammates, the engineers installed a 10mm microphone on the left ear cup of the Cloud III, with good noise cancellation and a mesh metal pop filter inside. The designers also included handy controls to control the volume and mute the microphone.

An important technical feature: the new HyperX Cloud III supports two wired connection options. A cable with a 3.5mm connector, a cable with USB-C and USB-A interfaces. Thanks to this set of connectors, the headphones are fully compatible with computers, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as mobile devices.

In addition to the full-size Cloud III headset, HyperX has introduced the Cirro Buds Pro True Wireless in-ear headphones. This is a TWS headset with excellent sound quality. It features 8mm drivers and a high-capacity battery, so the headset can go up to 35 hours* on a single charge. Plus, the headphones have reliable wireless connectivity with Bluetooth technology and low latency, and thanks to well-designed ergonomics they can be worn throughout the day without any discomfort. The Cirro Buds Pro True Wireless also features active noise reduction, so you can play or listen to music in loud places.

Another special feature of the new Wireless is the special function with which you can quickly turn off the active noise cancellation and hear everything that is going on around you. The headphones are also water-resistant, meeting IPX4** standards. And they’re backed up by a robust carrying case so you can fully charge the device in just 40 minutes. Three pairs of ear cushions in different sizes are included and will be available in Black, Blue, and Tan.

“The Cirro Buds Pro True Wireless TWS headphones are comfortable to wear even all day and deliver quality and realistic sound, so you can immerse yourself in your favorite game”, says Markus Hermann, commenting on the new in-ear headset from HyperX.
