Razer launches a new version of the BlackShark V2 Pro headset Leave a comment

The updated version of the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 headphones has been created with the experienced cyber athletes of Team Razer and is carefully designed in terms of ergonomics. Plus, the headset is stable wireless, transmits high-quality sound, and allows you to communicate freely with teammates.

The new headset was unveiled, as usual, in Irvine, California. The BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 version has been upgraded from various angles, and the first to mention is the new Razer HyperClear Super Wideband microphone. It’s easily removable, adjustable, and broadcasts your voice without interference. Two wireless connectivity options are radio (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth. And the developers have also added special audio profiles for shooters and installed a powerful battery that can go up to 70 hours without recharging.

As previously mentioned, the headset was developed together with professional players. Among them were famous eSports players such as Refsgaard (Ninjas in Pyjamas), Hakis (Alliance), Dexter (MOUZ), and Stax (DRX).

“We are well aware that many pro gamers use BlackShark series gaming headsets because these devices were created specifically eSports,” says Barry Uy, head of gaming (PC) at Razer. “With the new version of the BlackShark V2 Pro, our engineers have added several significant upgrades, and they’ve managed to further hone the best qualities of the headset by collaborating with top eSports players,” he continues.

New Razer HyperClear Super Wideband Microphone

This is the first major upgrade to BlackShark V2 Pro 2023. Clear and well-detailed sound with a large frequency range makes the HyperClear Super Wideband one of the best microphones in modern wireless headphones. Plus, it’s easy to remove if needed, and it’s adjustable due to the flexible leg. But most important, of course, is the quality and clarity of the sound, allowing for seamless communication with teammates.

“I was really surprised by the sound quality of the new HyperClear Super Wideband microphone,” says Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, a professional Optic Texas’ Call of Duty team player. “I’ve been using the BlackShark headphones for a long time, including during tournaments, and they’ve completely satisfied me. But the microphone upgrade in the 2023 version is impressive – it’s been handy!” he continues.

Audio profiles for FPS games

They’re purpose-built by the Razer development team and have been fine-tuned with top pro gamers to give you a sound experience that matches the best pro gamers. This way, you can hear the game’s details clearly, absorb information quickly, and react just as quickly to what’s happening in the game. And you can set up and use countless profiles via the Razer Synapse app without installing additional software.

Good battery and fast charging

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 can last up to 70 hours of battery life, more than three times longer than the previous version. Plus, the headphones have a fast charging feature via USB-C cable. It allows you to charge the headset in 15 minutes to work for the next 6 hours.

Durability and ergonomics

The steel headband and sturdy sliders in the design of the wireless headphones make the device very durable and able to withstand heavy use. And for a comfortable fit, we’ve designed dense fabric ear cushions that are well-ventilated and soundproof, filled with ultra-soft memory foam.

What about sound?

Razer has entrusted this task to its proven 50mm TriForce Titanium flagship speakers. Thanks to a titanium diaphragm on each driver, they do their job perfectly: delivering high-quality sound with good detail and without any interference or lag. Plus, the speakers work well with the FPS profiles mentioned above.

Wireless and Bluetooth

The BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 uses two types of wireless connectivity. These are the 2.4 GHz radio channels as well as Bluetooth technology. You can switch between the two using the handy SmartSwitch control, so you can quickly switch to the faster RF mode before you start playing or turn on the economical Bluetooth if you need to.
