The mouse has third-generation optical switches and also an optical sensor – it is Focus Pro 30K. The sensor and switches work very quickly, accurately, and also stably, and without any failures. Such a selection of components, together with a lighter weight, by as much as 20%, is not only the merit of Razer engineers but also a team of professional players who also contributed to the Viper V2 Pro. Therefore, by the way, the device is very well suited not only for amateurs but also for pro-gamers.

“Every gram of the new Viper V2 Pro was carefully considered during development. We needed to keep other mouse features that could play a role in the game’s decisive moment. You know how it is when you play at a high level and split seconds decide,” says Chris Mitchell, head of PC products at Razer. “We didn’t have the goal of simply reducing weight without paying attention to other important details, such as the sensor, switches, or even the quality of the side buttons. Everything had to meet the highest requirements in the new mouse and work flawlessly. Well, the goal was set ambitious, it’s true, but we have achieved its implementation!” he continues.

“The shape and weight of the Razer Viper V2 Pro suit me very well. The mouse literally repeats the shape of the palm and does not fail in terms of reaction speed and other characteristics during the game, which is very important for me and any other cyber sportsmen. Definitely a good mouse,” says Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, a professional Valorant player from OpTic Gaming.

These words are backed up by the recent record set by Marved at the 2022 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) with the new Viper V2 Pro. He had the highest number of kills per unit of time and became the MVP in the finals, with OpTic Gaming taking first place. Coincidence? Of course not.

One of the main components of any mouse, the new Viper V2 Pro looks very impressive in terms of its characteristics! The Focus Pro 30K optical sensor can operate with sensitivity up to 30,000 DPI – the name hints at this, and such an indicator claims to be the leader among modern sensors.

Plus, its tracking accuracy reaches 99.8%, even at maximum resolution. The additional smart features, Smart Tracking, Motion Sync, and Asymmetric Cut-off, significantly improve and optimize the sensor’s performance. For example, Asymmetric Cut-off allows to adjustment of the cut-off distance using 26 different levels, and in the previous version of this function, only three levels were available.

Moreover, I think we did it!” says Flo Gutierrez, director of eSports product development at Razer. “Based on the recommendations of pro-gamers, we focused on the most basic parameters and components – lightweight, high-quality sensor and the same switches. The user can evaluate the result, and I think you will like it very much!” he continues.

And now some details about the other components of the Razer Viper V2 Pro. The device comes with a Speedflex charging cable – it is flexible, durable, and uses a USB-C connector. For a secure grip, the mouse has side inserts that fully match the shape of the device. Also included in the box is a 2.4GHz HyperSpeed ​​USB receiver for wireless RF connectivity. Well, for quick sensitivity adjustment, the mouse has a separate button located on the back of the device.
