A set of 20 Gateron Optical Blue switches.

Gateron Optical is a 50 million press life optical switch designed for Dark Project keyboards with Hot Swap technology*.

* Not compatible with standard mechanical keyboards, but compatible with keyboards of other brands, based on Gateron Optical switch.

Optical switches

The distinctive feature of these switches is that they do not use metal contacts inside the switch body for pressure registration. Click registration is done by an optical transmitter and receiver soldered into the board. It gives notable gain in speed of pressure registration, durability and subjective feeling from pressing on keys.

Hot Swap Support

Gateron Optical supports Hot Swap technology so you can swap from one switch type to another quickly and easily. Not happy? Unsatisfied? Want a complicated combination of switch types on one keyboard? Easy!
